Hey folks,
I’m a novice when it comes to web design so excuse me if I screw up some terms or concepts. My ISP gives me some web space and provides various tools to use that space. One of those tools is an HTTP file uploading tool. This works well, but the tools they provide for rearranging files and/or directories are very unintuitive, basically they’re a pain in the a$$. One good thing about using their tools is that you have to log in, and its done securely.
What (OS 9) FTP uploading software can I use to upload/rearrange my files, in an intuitive environment, without having my passwords ‘thrown visibly through the net’?
TIA,
Speckledstone

Transmit, a shareware FTP client written by Panic Software (the same folks who wrote Audion), is very user-friendly. The interface is very Finder-like.

I second Transmit. Great piece of software and works flawless for me. Others might disagree, but thats what's great about trying other FTP clients out.

Worst. Episode. Ever. & KaptainKaya, you both have good taste. I checked out Transmit and it is, for the most part, exactly what I'm looking for. However, when I log in with my ISP's server, how secure is my password?

I *think* its 128 bit encryption. So you have nothing to worry about

Just in case you were interested, here is the answer I got from Panic:
Question - When I use my ISP’s ‘HTTP File Uploading’ utility, I log in through a ‘secure web page’ (sorry if that’s not the right terminology). The info at the bottom of my browser’s window says, “Connection to xxx.xxx.com is secure (RC4-128)”. So, when I use Transmit 1.7b2, is my password just as secure as when I log in through their website?
Answer - "No. Transmit does not use encryption for your connection, so the HTTP utility is probably more secure."
