Hi,
I'm working on building an eCommerce site for a family business. I will need to add a shopping cart so that people can actually buy things from us.

Does anyone know of a tutorial for coding a shopping cart? I've been googling around, but my results are centered toward buying a solution, not building one. This really isn't an option since I need to keep costs to a minimum.

What are you using for hosting/database?

The best advice is to buy a book that's geared toward you Web platform, if you're not afraid of getting your hands bloody with the code.
There was a recent PHP book review on Slashdot, go to <a href="http://slashdot.org/" target="_blank">Slashdot</a> and look for "Web Database Applications with PHP & MySQL" under Older Stuff, and some of the unfortunately derisive comments said the book was mainly geared to e-commerce.
