Hi, I work for a small Ad agency, we currenty have a Snapserver 2000 (2x20GB drives) and I'm looking into upgrading to a MacOS X based server. We have 4 Mac graphic designers who uses the server for graphics files all day, and about 9 other PC people who will use the server intermittently. I've got a budget of <$2000

We have a B&W G3/450 with a 9GB drive in it. I'm thinking of Getting a copy of 10.2 Server, an ATA100 Raid Card(Sonnet) and 2 80 or 100GB ATA drives.

Do you think this setup will be adequate? I'm worried about the G3's power, if it'll be able to keep up with our demand. Also i'm worried about it all running through the same Ethernet port.

Also does anyone know about how the X server handles "users"? I'm worried about too many users on at a time, I don't feel like shelling out $1k for the unlimited. How does the server know when people "log off"? Is it just when they unmount the drive?

Any other Comments or suggestions would be great! Thanks for the Help in advance!
