In an attempt to trim the budget, I'm looking to get rid of client based virus protection on both locked down mac and windows machines in my school. However, because of virii that travel over shared drives, and user folders i'm wondering if you can install some anti-virus software for OS X that would identify windows-based virii such as in a user's drop box. we have 350 users and the only place they keep files is on our X server and not one of them receives email.
