We are having a problem with our Xserve. Every couple of days users stop being able to log on via AFP to their shares. Everything else works fine. When I run top I see that AppleFileService is taking between 100-200% of the cpu. If I kill it all returns to normal in a few minutes. I can make this happen everytime by either netbooting more than 6 or 7 systems off of it or by having 5 or more students open the same file off the server (why try to discourage that of course but...). It also happens for no reason at all, when the load is seems very low. Does anyone have a suggestion?
