We are trying to authenticate a couple of osx boxes (10.2.2) via LDAP to our NW6 server. We updated the schema with the necessary changes found at
MacOS X Labs. We are logging all LDAP activity on the server.
We have set up and configured all Records and mappings. When we attempt to log in, our LDAP server sees the connection, however, after a few seconds we are kicked out of the Aqua GUI and we're looking at the Darwin CLI screen.
We know we're authenticating b/c we tried using a wrong password and the log issued a "failed authentication" statement.
So, has anyone actually gotten LDAP authentication to work and get tell us why we're getting bumped out to Darwin CLI when autenticating?
also, is there a way to start the Aqua interface when in Darwin? Other than issuing a shutdown -r now command?
