Hey all,

I am upgrading to Macintosh Manager 2.X on OS X Server 10.2 from Macintosh Manager 1.4 on OS 9.2. The migration book states to copy everything under the "Macintosh Manager" folder on the old Server to the new server under the same name in /Library. Then it says to copy the "Multi-Users Items" folder to the "Old MM Items" folder which I do! Then to begin the migration process by opening Macintosh Manager on a remote machine. I'm using Mac OS X Jaguar. The migration completes and adds everything I had on the old server except all of the users! Any ideas? The consistency file says that it removed every user from the workgroups! The Apple Knowledge base sucks so I'm now forced to post messages. Any help would be great!

Thanks

I have done this upgrade numerous time, with varying degrees of success. Sometimes it works like a charm, and othertimes not.
The saviour is always Passenger, a must-have-program. Unless the users must have their files, then import the users to WGM, and create the home folders. Then use Passenger again to create an import file for MM. The MM import can assign people to MM workgroups automatically. Search versiontracker.com for Passenger. I can highly recommend it.
