Hi again folks

I'm trying to get the serial number of my sick Xserve remotely, using Terminal. I don't have the bootup CD to hand at the data centre yet - is there a command that will get me this information?

The Xserve serial number or the Mac OS X Server serial number?

The first one can be seen by using the system_profiler command.

The second one can be seen by using:

/System/Library/ServerSetup/serversetup -getSerialNumber
