OSX Server move problems

Hi All,

I needed to give my installation of OSX Server more space (the OS was sitting on one of two partitions of a single drive, and I wanted to reformat that drive into one partition and run the OS from there).

To do this, I rebooted into OS9 (to avoid any permissions problems). I then copied the partition containing OSX Server on to a another drive, formatted the first drive back in to a single partition, and copied OSX Server back onto the newly formatted drive. I renamed the newly formatted drive with the exact name of the old OSX Server partition.

Now the server doesn't move past the gray apple screen (with the wagon wheel just turning around and around and around...).

What did I screw up, and any ideas on how I can fix it?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Chas

Good God. Your permissions probably got totally hosed when you did the copies from OS 9.

Why didn't you use something like Carbon Copy Cloner?
