10.3 only works on Macs with built in USB, which leaves out Beige G3s. Anyone tried installing 10.3 server on a HD and moving it to a beige G3? (or even the client) I'd be nice to eventually buy a copy of 10.3 server, but still use our beiges for the serving. They've worked fine so far.

I suggest finding a deal on a B&W and using that to serve. I found one for a good price and am glad I did. I didn't like that beige thing anyway.
Oh, and gacmug.org just expired so if you're interested in it, you should be able to snag it up in a few weeks from any domain reseller.

It wouldn't be possible as Beige G3's use a different bootloader then the New World Rom Macs. Thats where XPostFacto would come in.

How much did you pay for your new B&W? I just did the same for a server... just bought a B&W from a fellow macNNer

Got it for $200 about 2 months ago. Actually I bought 3 and sold the other 2 off for $300 each so I made my money back.
However, I'm about to make a nice purchase of about a dozen B&Ws for $60 each. That should have a nice turnaround.
