I have an ADSL connection to my computer, and I'd like to serve some rather large files to a select group of people. The files are in the 500 MB - 1 GB range. Because the files are so large, and because I can only serve at a rate of ~30 KB/s, I was wondering if there are any ways to serve these files with a resumable download option, in case an initial attempt to download a file is not successful. I'd prefer any options that do not involve a user having to log in, such as http or anonymous ftp protocols. I'd also prefer any resumable download options that are free. So, what are my options? I'm running OS X 10.3 Client.

Bit Torrent would work and requires no login. It could also improve download performance since all the users downloading would also be downloading from each other.
