In previous versions of MACOSXS (prior to Panther Server) NetInfo could be configured (config->AppleFileServer->use_home_dirs=1) to behave more like netatalk on Linux, i.e. when a user logged in his home directory appeared along with other sharepoints. The user did not have to scroll through a long list of other Users.
This config option is missing in 10.3.
Can anyone tell me how to regain that option?

Are you talking about the login screen on a client? this can be managed through workgroup manager. Or accessing other shares through the 'go' conect to server on a logged in client?
