Share Point won't go away

	Server is a G4 450 running X Server 10.2.8. Basically I am trying to change a current sharepoint to another folder on a drive... From Workgroup Manager --> Sharing --> Select the Share Point and un-check Share This Item and its Contents then save. Should work right? It doesn't... A username and password window pops-up when I click Save and root doesn't work. It takes my account though, as I am an administrator. Any help on this would be great!
