I've set up a Mac OS X Panther server on my network and I'm trying to get computers to authenticate to it. I set up the client LDAPv3 plugin to use them for authentication but I can't seem to get it to work. Over several attempts I have finally gotten lookupd's allUsers command to list the users on the directory with all their attributes, which I thought was a good sign, but when I restart and try logging on with one of those accounts via the "Other..." button on the LoginWindow I get the shaky screen.

Seeing as my search & mappings are unconfigured, is that where I need to delve next in order to get this stuff working? I don't really understand what those are for. What's the next step?
