Hey everyone,
Running OS X Server 10.3.4 on a Dual 2ghz G5. The system offers SMB filesharing services to a mostly Win2k Professional client network. Some people have certain shares set up as mapped drives on their desktops. Every once in a while, though, people will get the following error when trying to save a document in an application to the shared drive:
"An error occured while reconnecting to E:. \\Server\Share: The local device name is already in use. This connection has not been restored."
However, despite the message, the document is still successfully saved on the server, but obviously something is going wrong that's freaking Windows out. Anyone have any insight? This issue didn't occur when our file server was a Win2k machine, so I'm figuring it might just be some little quirk in Samba that I'm not aware of.
