Hey guys, i am trying to make my OS 9 clients in a computer lab connect via Appletalk to a 10.2.8 OS X server. I have a database stored on the server and the OS 9 computers run the program that uses the database. The problem is, the OS 9 computers can not see the OS X server in the chooser or network browser. If I click on the connect via IP, I can connect to it, I then find the database and it runs OK, when I try to connect with the same computer after a log out or restart, it asks me to find the Database again. This is a program for students in grades 2-8. Any ideas why I can't see the server via Appletalk?
Thanks

Do you have Appletalk turned on at the server? Check System Preferences AND Directory Access. Also, at the command line, you can use atlookup to see if it's really working.

Otherwise, perhaps you could set the share point to automount at bootup on the OS 9 clients.

I have appletalk turned on in both areas, and it still doesnt show up. A friend of mine said that 10.2 didn't list in Appletalk clients that were running OS 9, is this true? I will try the terminal command today to see if that works.
Thanks
