Has anyone else had this problem? The Network Image Utility seems to die on G5's. Granted I only have one to try on, but it dies in the exact same spot every single time, right after you save the image to your disk, right before it actually starts making the image. Yet I can use the utility on my iBook or the server itself (G3) no problem. Except then I have to try and shuffle huge databases over my wireless and thats no good. Is this a known flaw or something else?

This is really odd, so I used my iBook to set everything up, and apparently NetBooting seems to be working fine. I can boot my 10.3.6 image and my 10.4 Preview image, all no problem. Except when I try to boot the G5. The G5 KP's either during boot or shortly after boot when I'm netbooting, and the netbooting image tool doesn't work on it either. This si very very strange. Is there some known issue with the G5 or something. Its a dual 1.8, the newer one not the original, so it seems unlikely that its a bug. What gives?

If your 10.3.6 netboot image boots other machines correctly, there may be something wrong with the G5. Try running the AHT.
