I do not know where to get it?
I need something small to mount only 10 Xserve's
and also i am planning to buy Xserve ultimate for web and email host for my company, so i want to ask what you think about it?
Should i buy it or not?
Thank you

10 Xserve "Ultimate" servers? Are you running America Online or something?
Well, anyway, you can try looking here for a start. Good luck.

I looked at that link and this is way too big i need something smaller in height, half of that size.
And what is wrong with 10 servers?
I am not talking full 44U Xserves only 10

Depends on where you want to put it. The closest I can think of is a half-rack enclosure.
Something like APC's NetShelter VX should do the trick.
Alternatively, you might consider APC's NetShelter WX which is a 13U wall-mounted rack. I'm just not sure of the weight support - they rate it at 100lbs, and 10 XServe's would be 260 pounds.

10 Xserves would be a lot of processing computer and a lot of money, man!
I don't even know what I could do with more than one... Sheesh!

I have a Dual 500 MacOS X Server, and a Dual 800 MacOS X Server for my house and I think I could easily use one more server, but if I had 10 I would be renting out the CPU time and storage space

if i had 10 Xserves i would sell at least 8 of them - maybe as a 'little' cluster;-)

First of all, people, stop hijacking this thread.
It's nice that you are impressed with how much power this person needs, but you don't need to keep posting about it.
Second, I'm not sure where to get a rack (I'll try looking later today), but don't get that wall mounted one. Like it states, it doesn't support that much weight, and seems to be more for ethernet components and stuff then for high density servers.
Third, for Xserve ultimate for your hosting, it depends. How much traffic do you have? If you have an idea of how many emails per day / how big of emails (file attachments), and how much web traffic you get per day.
For both questions, you might try calling an apple rep and see what they can help you with, you might be able to work out a deal with them for those 11 systems plus a rack as one purchase, and let them deal with the rack solution for you.
Hope this helps,
Scott

Guess a lot of peole don't understand server farms
Since Apple is new at this, they may not have a 'recommended' rack supplier. I know when I have made large orders from Compaq or Dell that they give me discounts or free Rack enclosures. Apple might have something going.
If not, let's hope they get something going soon. I'd love to see them sell a lot of Xserve

I certainly wouldn't recommend putting 10 XServes in a wall mounted cabinet. I only suggested it as the smallest cabinet that will hold 10 XServes. The weight issue isn't relevant if you're desk/floor-mounting the cabinet.
In addition to that, airflow would be another major issue in a wall-mounted cabinet - the XServes flow air front-to-back and if the back of the cabinet is against the wall there's nowhere for the air to go.
I should have clarified those points in my original post.

Personally, I have way more than 10 servers in my network (although zero XServes ), so you're right - the number of servers needed is not relevant to this thread. If that's what the user needs (or believes he needs) then so be it. Leave the jealousy at the front door

This is a great idea. If you have a real Apple Dealer in your area, talk to him and give him your business. The Apple Store is great for consumers and one-off buys, but the professional services of a knowledgeable dealer is a great asset once you step outside the bounds of a 'normal' Apple Store need. Any Apple dealer should be able to locate, recommend and provide a complete solution.

All of our servers at work are Dells, and go into Dell branded racks. For our networking equipment, backup units, we went with racks from BlackBox. I honestly don't know if their prices are expensive or not (haven't done much comparison shopping), but they do make good products, and ship quickly.

Digging deeper, the wall-mount rack isn't an option.
XServe's are 28" deep, the APC wall-mount rack is only 25" deep, therefore the XServe won't fit.
So you're back to a half-cabinet option.
