Once a long time ago someone here told me something I can add to my httpd.conf that would make the names of files in server generated directories use their full length names, instead of the truncated ones. I have since upgraded and forgotten what this attribute is. Anyone remember?

You can also list the file names in Server Admin > Internet > Web > Sites (pick the site and click "Edit…") > Default document name. Of course, you must do this for every site you want, but you can control each site's directory index file names this way.

I think you're talking about something completely different. The link in the previous thread had the information i was looking for, and it had some extra goodies too.

Wow, yeah, I wasn't even close. Forgive me for it was quite late (I was coming off one of those "no sleep for 30+ hours" things), and I guess I wasn't really reading that well.

New Question: Is there a way I can add my own HTML to my apache made indexes? Everythign works good except two problems. On some browsers, my icons (which are links now) have the classic blue border around them. I need to add a little "border=0" in there. And the other problem is alignment, both the icons and the text that is thier name, are algined in teh bottom of the table rows, i'd like to change it to middle so it looks better, as I will depict below using pure text.... :-)
