I just realized how much I hate Mac OS X Server running on a beige G3. I thought I could pull off using X Server on a machine designed to run System 7, but alas, it is was not worth it. Hell, it was easier setting up Mac OS X client as a dedicated multiple domain web server!
Now I have to decide whether to go back to OS X client or go WAY back to Yellow Dog Linux. The only problem is that the server itself is back at work frozen from the server admin app and I won't have until Friday to attempt to reformat it again.
Why am I telling you this? To warn you the perils of of beige box and OS X Server. : lus I need to blow off some steam!::

Really? Hmm...
I have a beige g3/233 w/ 192 megs of RAM and it runs horribly. Maybe I was expecting more from X Server 10.1
Oh well.

Mostly good results from a Beige G3/233 (now G4/400) using OS X Server 10.1
Main complaint? Poor support for large hard drives.

I run OS X Server 10.1.3 on a iMac G3/266 with 256MB RAM and it runs quite well...now the UI is pretty slow but for File Serving (which I have stress tested), Web Serving (I have not stressed this) it seems to do ok. Try putting more RAM in it for starters and upgrade the processor if you need to.

I'm still running the old Rhapsody-style OS X Server for FTP and light web traffic. OS X 10.1 dragged on it... almost unusable, but 1.2 flies

I was actually pretty happy with OS X client running mySQL and PHP. I just wanted to try X Server out. I think I'll go back to X Client and stick to good ol' httpd.conf editing over Server Admin
