Anybody know why OS X Server hasn't been updated to 10.1.5?

Well I think that many of the changes are for clients and X server is not designed for clients <img border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" title="" src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" />

OS X Server is the same OS with a few extra programs included. We can al benefit from those features added to OS X. For teh same reason there has been an X Server equivalent of every other OS X upgrade that has come out so far.

I suspect they'll push out a 10.1.5 server update here soon, to correct some apache vulnerabilities, etc. (This may just end up in the form of a 10.1.6 update though, or a security patch)

They seemed to have ironed out most of the really nasty problems with the Mail Server, so I suspect OS X 10.1.X server will mostly be bug fixes from now until 10.2

Apple considers "Mac OS X Server" to be a complete package, when in fact it could easily be a separately distributed combination of "Mac OS X" and the "server" applications (and perhaps OS configuration tweaks). Mac OS X is built upon a mach/Unix base that is inherently "server" capable. However, to further the marketing perception (a.k.a. lie) that they are really separate products and that there is some special "mojo" in the server product base OS the products are separately released and priced. That the products share the same version numbering space merely confuses the issue further!

Cheers,

-Nathan

Anyone who is qualified to run a BIG we site filled with all sorts of services on Mac OS X is almost definitely capable of doing it all, probably easier, on OS X Client. Server Admin is a big plus though, I will say that. And I'm sure there is more I don't know about.

Anyway my problem is 10.1.5 showed up in my System Update window even though I'm on server, so i ran it, and it got an error and didn't complete. It still said I was on 10.1.4 but the big problem, my mac will no longer go to sleep, i have to manually turn my monitors off/down. I tried many thing, and eventually I downloaded 10.1.5 and got it to run and not get an error, it completed. But I still can't sleep and I'm still on 10.1.4 Server according to my Apple Menu. I'm just hoping that 10.1.5 comes out soon, and that it solves my problem. If not I might have to lose this system and install client. I'll just save my httpd.conf file and I should be find
