I have heard that the clones will be very unsupported, but that they might have an install option to install onto clones.

They are not going out of their way to make MacOS X compatible with other Macs (and clones), but they are not going out of their way to make it incompatible, either.

Apple is committing solely to PowerMacintosh G3 hardware for MacOS X Server. All literature since MWSF points to this.

Rumor! has it that there is a special installation option for older (Rhapsody) systems, but just remember that "installable" doesn't mean "recommended" or safe.
