Hi,

I'm trying desperately to share an ADSL connection (from KPN - MXStream)
that uses the PPtP (VPN) protocol from Micro$oft.

Running the latest Mac Os X 10.0 Server I am using a little app called
GUI-PPtP to make the connection with the ISP. Now I would like to use the gNAT
app to allow us to share this single PPtP connection with all our desktops.

Below are the specifics:

- I'm using an iMac with (by default) 1 Network interface.
- 285mb of RAM
- No Airport
- The network control panel is configured as follows:
-> Configure: Manually
-> IP address: 10.0.0.139
-> Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
-> Router: 10.0.0.138
-> DNS: 194.109.6.66 / 194.109.9.99
- GUI PPtP is configured as follows:
-> Username: ***
-> Password: ***
-> Server / ANT Address: 10.0.0.138
-> Internet connection: Checked
-> The rest uncheched
- Using these settings I can get a singel internet connection and that works
without a problem. The problems start when using the gNAT app. The internet
connection breaks after 10 seconds and from that point on GUI-PPtP can't
make a connection anymore. The only option is to restart that computer.
- Setting for gNAT:
-> SubNet Mask: 255.255.255.0
-> Router Address: 192.168.0.1
-> Preserver Ports: checked
-> Use Sockets: checked
-> Create Aliasing Log: Checked
-> Deny Incoming Requests: UNCHECKED
-> Create Denial logs: UNCHECKED
-> External Network Interface: Ethernet Card 1 (en0)
-> Internal Network Interface: Ethernet Card 1 (en0)
-> Dynamic Ip Binding: Unchecked
-> Local Chaching Name Server: Unchecked
-> Load on Startup: still unchecked...

Could anybody please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

If it's not possible (yet) with your app, could anybody please explain how to do
it through the terminal?

Thank you very much in advance!

Kind regards,
Gerhard Zielinski
