I've tried everything that I can think of!! Zero'd out HD (9 gig IBM OEM HD attached to 2940U2B card, then 29160N card, then ATTO Express PCI - same results - OS loads up after login and the minute I open a window or pull down a menu - mouse pointer freezes and whole machine locks up. Active terminator was attached to each card's external connector when each card had been tried. 29160N kext file is present - I even made a boot CD ROM so that I could boot up with 29160N card - still no luck with that installation. Machine is a 450MHz Yosemite B/W G3 w/512MB RAM and additional 18 gig 10,000rpm LVD HD from Quantum all connected via PCI SCSI bus to the appropriate card. Have used Radeon PCI, ATI Nexus card, as well as stock Rage 128. Anyone out there have any suggestions? - this is really frustrating - I want to use the
machine as a file and/or web server.

Are you trying to run the Server off one of the SCSI drives? I'm not exactly sure why that would cause a problem but I have heard of a few similar problems.

I was able, with relative ease to get OSXS v10 running on my G3/400 B&W, but I have the OS on the root ATA drive.

Ciao!
