When install OS X server on a G4 500 MHz Gigabit machine, I get an always get an error. The error happens while it is copying files to the hard drive. The error messgae states something to the effect "There was an error during the installation, please quit the install and try again".

This has happened to me 5 or 6 times now.

In troubleshooting I have used this same CD to install on a similar G4, however the G4 it is licensed and to be used on, won't allow the install.

Has anyone else ran into this error. I am begining to wonder if it might be a problem with the CD/DVD drive. As sometimes I can't even get the same machine to boot from the CD.

Thanks for you input.
