I am just so happy. This OS will rock the show bigtime.
I am however quite mad that there's no upgrade path to the new version. I've used Mac OS X Server in a production environment since it was first introduced as a product, and I think those of us who did that deserve a little thanks.
It wasn't pretty at times. Kind of like how a train wreck isn't pretty.
Anyways, the bad days are over!!

Has anyone used it yet? It is basically OSX with the additional server features (streaming/php/etc). It has the exact same Darwin core and Aqua interface. Even the OSX client updates work on it.
I haven't tried anything "real" on it (for what I do, that means WebObjects deployment), but I think it's going to be hugely popular as server software. In the old days, OS9 and OSXS1.x were so different, it took a rocket scientist to be able to properly administer an integrated environment. Now OSXS and OSX go hand-in-hand. Learning OSXS actually relates to what OSX does and needs (if you know what I mean).
