Does anyone know how to make an OSX server not act as the Master Browser, so that PC's can browse the internal network without problems?

There is a setting to do exactly this. I'm not in front of an OS X Server at the moment, so I can't tell you exactly where it is. However, I recall seeing it in the "Windows" settings, in the OS X Server Admin. I distinctly remember seeing (and turning off) a checkbox labeled "Enable Master Browser" or something like that. Seek and ye shall find.
