What is the best way to setup Mac OS X (consumer) running as a web server to use BIND? In other words, what is the best way to use the domain I registered for this server? I don't have any money for iTools, hence no OS X Server. I'm really in a jam here and I'd love a little help. Thanks.

I don't understand what the question is? Point your domain to your IP, turn Apache on?
Worked for me http://johnmasone.com
I Also host other much higher traffic pages of this same server.

Instead of being your own DNS server, you could try ZoneEdit. They have a lot of great, free DNS services. Up to 5 separate domains for free is a pretty good deal considering the easy-to-use interface they give you. I've used other free services (like Public DNS) but I had to understand the "DNS language". With ZoneEdit, I just say, "This name points to this IP." and everything works. Oh ya, the other cool thing is how updates happen in minutes, not days. It works great for dynamic IPs because of that.

First, there's no requirement to run a DNS server on this machine just because it's a web server. Your existing DNS servers can continue to serve that role. However, if you really want to:
Download BIND
Decompress and untar the archive you downloaded
cd to the directory created by the previous step
./configure
make
(wait a while)
make install
You now have a working copy of bind on your machine.
You'll need to configure zone files for your domain (or copy your existing zone files to this machine). If you're a current BIND user you probably know how to do this, otherwise the bind docs give you some pointers (although not all that clearly, IMHO)
You'll also need a static IP address for your server (which you probably already have if you're hosting web sites on this machine)
Once configured, you'll either need to register this host with the InterNIC as an authoritative host for your domain, or reconfigure your public hosts to make them slaves off this machine so they pull zone updates and continue to serve users.

Sorry, I decided to point the domain to another DNS server. I found a newer one at work that was just recently setup so I'll use that. Thank you very much for your help, I'm going to need it to setup a new Mac DNS server in the future!
