What is the difference between OS X Server 10.0.4 and OS X 10.0.4???
I am currently using normal OS X 10.0.4 on my G4 Tower as server for my home network of Macs. You log into any Mac using the same id and your same home folder shows up as home. Works great! As soon as my DSL is installed, I will be enabling Apache and SendMail as web and mail servers, and serving up my corporate website.
Sooo, now I am looking to set up a big Mac tower as server for a dozen or two iMacs at my little business... I can do it just like I've done at home. But it seems like I should be using OS X Server for all this server stuff... should I?
But I can't see what OS X Server adds beyond what's in OS X.
And I'm not sure what my current OS X setup is missing that I should be looking for. And I am a bit afraid of what OS X Server might be missing relative to good ol' OS X.
Sooo, if someone could explain to me the differences between the two, OS X and OS X Server, I would greatly appreciate it.
My apologies for what may be the most basic of questions for this forum, but my searches have not yielded an answer...
Thanks!
