Been experimenting for a year and I've got some seriously cool **** happening behind the scenes, stuff like nothing I've ever seen before (it's true)... now if only I could get some time to work on it.
A site launch without at least a preview of an upcoming kit would be anticlimatic, so I'm waiting until I get my **** together on one of these OSX designs I'm tinkering with. I'm split between 4 designs right now: Miraikane (which is a silver+dark+angular design to follow up Mercury) and something I haven't named yet (which is a very clean but slick silver+white+curved design) and a hybrid of the two (which looks like Aqua wrapped in an Audi TT) and one based on my prototype BBXstudio website look&feel (which looks like magnesium with a neon bluegreen underlite)... too many cool ideas, not enough freakin' time... aaarrrggghh!!!
What I'm really dying to do is a nice dark design, but this unchangable text colour issue in OSX makes that a waste of time.
Sounds like you got many cool ideas, if you feel like it I'd be happy to help you make some of them.
How is tha package comming along?

Almost done... just relax. Just sewing up all the links, popping the linked files online, and 1 desktop graphic to build - that's it. I'll send it back to Max to make sure he's happy and he'll be the one to release it.
You'll have it before the weekend's out for sure.

That is great news, I have been booting my iBook in OS9 with the BBX Mercury theme for over a week now just to get used to the feel again.

R the icons that R going to be released the same as the ones on the bbx web site ? There R missing a few.. so I guess not... I answered my question.
They're a little too ... bbx-y for me.... What if Mr Snowman (Snow icon guy) made some bbx icons.. now that would B the perfect symbiosis I've seen on the mac in a while... ;-)

OMG, "Theme Geeks®" is going to become a new Forum topic Im sure . I'll have the highest post count in there, cause I am one too !
Can someone make one of those little countdown apps like they did for Jaguar for the release of BBX Mercury? Oh, guess not, we doont know the release date. Shite!! I guess its back to hitting the reload button in Chimera every three seconds on Max's homepage

Sounds cool! I'm looking forward to that too. Will it be in flash? Since that's about the only thing I don't know how to do yet, as far as webdesign, I really enjoy seeing cool Flash sites. The scripting really isn't my thing, but I hope to learn that some time.

Halo is a beautiful thing (although I hated driving the warthog). Has anybody tried Metroid Prime for Gamecube? Worth the price of the system IMHO. It's every bit as entertaining as Halo and then some. Probably the slickest game in terms of interface / presentation / stylistic graphics I've ever seen... I'm dying to get some time to play it.
BTW, if you're into Xbox games and you have access to a PC, you should check out the WindowsMediaPlayer interface I did for MechAssault (it's the official one at Xbox.com)... probably one of the coolest animated startup sequences on a skin ever.
Tomorrow for sure on BBX Mercury X. It's a thing of beauty if I do say so myself Been fun playing (working) in it for the past few days...

Slightly off-topic, I suppose... but yeah, I'd have to agree about MP. I didn't own a gamecube until two weeks ago, when I saw a kiosk at EB with Metroid running; I punked out and bought one on the spot just to play that game. It's been worth it, though, because you are completely right in every way about how awesome it is in every way. Coincidentally, the money from the first paychecks from my very first job, ever, in junior high school went toward buying the a Nintendo Entertainment System and the original Metroid. I grew up on that game. Later, in high school, they came out with Super Metroid, which I figured would keep the "greatest game ever, period" crown until the end of time. Then I played Metroid Prime, and Super Metroid was dethroned. If you happened to grow up on metroid like I did, or maybe you are just a gaming geek like me, you owe it to yourself to check out Prime. After following SquareSoft over to the Sony camp years ago and happily owning both a PSX and a PS2 I never expected to really support Nintendo again, but I've been pleasantly surprised by the GC so far. And, for the record, MP completely owns Halo.

Thanks, the site layout comes second to me, I spend most time updating the themes. I'll see if I can whip up a nice logo for it.
On the theme, I just woke up, and if WIlliam sends me the finished package within 2 hrs or so I'll upload it now. If not until later, I'll have to upload it after school, in about 8 hrs or so.
When you have tried the theme, hit me back with some feedback so that I can improve it further.

Now you've done it! Your email server is gonna get shutdown if the anticipation in this thread is any indication of the feedback. I think you can expect fruit baskets, stocking stuffers and more after this is released. Now that is what I call feedback .

Someone should make a "post your BBX screenshot" thread once it's released. Accompanied by the necessary feedback that is.
Now if you'll excuse me...need to do the dishes before Max gets home from school!

Ya I've got Metroid Prime it's one great game, but I've been more busy playing Unreal and Mechassault on Xbox Live.
Oh any of you Xbox guys want PanzerDraggon Orta? Here's my preview of the game: http://www.thegamebrain.net/news/fna...?id=1537184215 (I designed the site)
Well I'll be checking every hour or two today to see if the theme is up yet. lol

Sounds good to me! My wallpaper I made will go great with the theme, and I would like to show it off.

I sure hope this will be a .theme file and not .dlta!
Duality 3.1.1 with system 10.2.2 and dlta's don't work so well together. . . Rhapsodized will not work at all for me. ConundrumSoft also recognizes that Duality 4pr3 does not work with system 10.2.2. So, it would seem until a better Duality 4 is released, I won't be able to use Rhapsodized. (if BBX is dlta, I might not be able to use it either)

BBX is .dlta. I'm using 10.2.2 with ms3 and I have no problem switching themes whatsoever. I know that 3.1.1 wont switch dlta, but I don't know why though..

Done - Just sent Max the final .dmg... now it's up to him. Just try to be understanding if it's totally fuzzed - I'm going on zero sleep.
Re: .dlta vs. .theme format -
I personally can't the preview release of Duality4 working properly, and I think it was pretty bizarre that Conundrum decided to abandon the .theme format - I would have liked to have seen support for it continue. I'm really not up on what the differences between the 2 are, however... all I know is Duality4 is messy. I've been building all of my testbed themes in .theme format and switching with Duality 3 with no probs.
Let's just settle on a standard and go, for crying out loud.

So is it coming out tonight? I'm getting a little too excited about this theme. I've been checking this page every hour. I'd like to thank Max and William in advance for the best theme on OS X.
Ahh. I hope it comes out tonight. I want to see BBX in all its glory before I go back to school tomorrow.

Dying for Orta! Tried Splinter Cell? Man, is that one fun. I'm waiting until the new year to jump onto Live, though.
OT again Love of stylish video games and interfaces go hand-in-hand I guess.

Yeah.. Duality 3.1.1 doesn't see every theme and Duality 4 ms3 as a preference pane isn't even seen by my computer. The instal works and everything but then nothing so I downloaded the Dualityt 4 ms3 as an Application... Seems to work fine this way...
U know what would be a good idea ?
To release BBX under another topic cause I'm dead tired of checking this thread every 3 hours... ;-)

As far as I know dmg work the same as folders, meaning in "Show View Options" you have to select the picture that will display in the background and the pic must be within the dmg of course. Some start the name of the pic with a "." to make it invisible

You have to make sure the image source is on the Disc Image (wherever you want, but you have to have it on the image). Then you go View > Show View Option. Background > Image.
I guess what I just said is a bit too obvious to forget it
I find it very cool that there is so MUCH angony/stress/happyness in the air all because of that little thing. It makes me want to hug both of you guys, and Steve Jobs.
Can't wait to see BBX on my screen.
