"It's always been an interesting relationship
[hostility]

with the Mac community
[Damn hippies]

... sometimes a bit rocky," Kurz said,
[Quark 5]

apparently referring to Mac users' concerns
[venomous ire]

about lengthy delays
[stalling]

to the Mac OS X-native version of XPress.
[What's unix?]

However, he told the crowd
[mob]

that Quark was here to "celebrate"
["stfu"]

that the new version
[beta]

was shipping.

"Quark is dedicated to Apple,"
[Microsoft]

Kurz said, "and nowhere is that more evident than QuarkXPress 6."
[and nowhere is that more evident than QuarkXPress 6."]

That WAS funny! The most intelligent quark bitching I have seen on this forum so far.

By the way, I sometimes feel like a hippie of the computer age...

I have to confess I lifted the idea of my posting from a similiar quote deconstruction regarding Quark I read a while ago. Unfortnately I don't recall who wrote it and I can't google it for the life of me...it was a gem.
