I'm looking for an affordable way to create and sync simple databases on OS X and Palm.

Is there a solution for getting an AppleWorks database to sync with a Palm?

Try Wordsmith from Blue Nomad (Docs to Go might have that capability too, check the Apple/Palm site)...

HanDBase is a nice Palm DB program, but the Mac desktop application is a bit rudimentary: you have to export & import everything to your Appleworks DB by hand. If you can afford it, Filemaker Pro is the answer.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like WordSmith handles AppleWorks databases.
My PalmIIIe isn't supported by Documents to Go and there is no way I can afford FM Pro.

This seems like a real shortcoming of the Mac/Palm world.
There are many many choices for Windows/Palm...
