Definitely one of the highlights of SIGGRAPH this year. Plus their first public demo of the app was on a Mac. If they include an animation and rendering module that is equally impressive as modo then I just might have to drop LightWave and purchase this instead.

Same here. There's a huge thread going on jsut now over on the LW forum about Modo, adn it's creators. Modo is basically what LW modeller should have been, and with Newtek showing off a very lacklustre LW 8, I'm hoping the guys at Lux. will get the other modules out. I've heard that the base technology of Modo will be used in an animation, effects package.
