I was just playing around at work and saw on the macworld website that you can now get the print edition in a digital format.
This seems like a really cool idea because:
1. The company doesn't have to print and send me a magazine anymore (good for the environment, no more coupons falling onto my lap.)
2. I don't have a stack of magazines sitting on my floor (i LIKE to keep the things i pay for!)
3. I am a college student and I have moved every year for the past 4 years. Every year I have to change my address, and thus miss a few issues.
Do any other magazines do this besides Macworld? I would much rather have a digital archive of my magazines rather that a bookshelf full of them.

The app itself is reallly terrible. I trashed it right away even though the idea of downloading a complete magazine sound great.

That's really a bummer. I am someone who reads a lot of magazines, and having them on a HD instead of a coffee table sounds really nice. (Kinda like having 7000 songs in your pocket instead of all over your living room)

I have Zinio on my machine at home. I use it to read eWeek. It's not totally bad. Navigating around a large format magazine on a 15" monitor is a bit frustrating although I am not sure that can be blamed on the Zinio reader. Changing views is a bit slow (on a 550 MHz Titanium G4).
I do find it irritating that one is *required* to download every issue. I hadn't bothered to download since early June and found that I had to download several issues in which I was no longer interested in order to get the most recent issue.
I contacted their customer support about being able download only the most recent issue and got a prompt, polite "don't hold your breath."
