So my sister has a Canon digital camera. Her CF memory card from her vacation has about 200 photos on it. She plugs the camera into the Mac.

iPhoto only imports 170 of them. The remaining 30 photos on the card will display on the camera itself, but nothing has worked to get iPhoto to recognize them.

Does anybody know how to get these photos off the card?

sure she didn't take them as movies by accident?

i photo doesn't recognize the movies canon cameras take (or any ???)

Also, you could try using image capture to see if you can get at the extra few photos.

Also, you could try deleting the photos you successfully imported and then trying again.
