Hey all,

I tried to view source from one movie trailer page and copy the QT url and paste it to my download manager.. but what i get is just 1kb file??

Does anyone know how to / or what application to use to download QT movie from the web?

You'll need to upgrade to QuickTime Pro. It costs $29.99 for a key.

Sometimes they hide the actual movie URL by only embedding a small movie that, when clicked, fetches the actual movie. Getting QuickTime Pro will not always solve this problem, as some movies disallow saving them to the HD.

You can also get the cache from on your HD after you download the movie through your browser.

so where to get my cache files?? can you please be more specific ?

If you use OmniWeb, in the Finder, press command-shift-G to get the Go To: dialogue and then type in /tmp followed by enter.

You will see a folder called something like:

OmniWeb-yourusername-1 (or 2 etc)

Any QT files you view on a webpage will be saved to these folders. You can simply drag them to a different folder to save them.

i dont have Omniweb inside my iMac... where can i download?
