I'm using iMovie to take stills out of digital video. I store them with a number and the a short description (01 Water.jpg). When I import them into iPhoto, either by dragging and dropping or clicking import, they come out in reverse order and I can't seem to re-order them.

Also, the photos seem to be compressed vertically, so that people appear fatter and shorter.

Anyone have the same problem or know a solution?

I'm sure it has something to do with the numbering convention...try a few without the numbers and see what happens...

In iPhoto's Preferences there an option to Place the most recent photos at the top. It this is checked, then your 11 Water.jpg will come before your 03 Water.jpg. You have to play around with that preference and the sorting options (Arrange) under the View menu. You can get the photos to show up 1, 2, 3, etc. buy the newest imports will be at the bottom of your library. If you put them in Albums, you can have greater control of the order.

As for the compression, I've never experienced that with my libraries. You might try adjusting the size slider bar in the Organize and/or Edit window.
