hi... i've been having problems with hotmail sent from mail.app not reaching it's destination.. and without warning either. so i've checked the prefs to cc me on every email sent out... the only thing is.. other people are getting my emails.. but i'm not getting my cc's!!! I'm very frustrated with this. i've tried the exact same thing in hotmail.com, and it works fine..

well since hotmail is only supported using the httpmail plug-in, I'm guessing its a problem with the plug-in...

Simple solution is to use a real e-mail account.

I noticed Mail.app is filtering *@hotmail.com as spam, which is amusing -- must have noticed so much spam claims to be from hotmail.com and I hardly ever get legit e-mail from it.

it depends on who you communicate with.. for me at work, i never see a hotmail address, but at home, i would say 80% of all my legit emails are hotmail addresses.. it's a good thing i don't turn on spam filtering, cause then i would never get any emails. Also, i have my hotmail.com prefs to exclusive, meaning that only email addresses that are in my safe list or my contact list go to my inbox and are downloaded into mail.app, so i never get any spam in my mail.app inbox.

E-Mail sent from Mail.app to hotmail accounts in the CC or BCC field will get thrown into the Hotmail junk folder. Go look. It got delivered all right ... just not into the Inbox. I suppose that if the recipient turns off their junk mail filter in hotmail then this problem will go away.

This has nothing to do with Mail.app and everything to do witht he lousy way Microsoft implements the junk mail filter in hotmail.

Nobody else has this problem. Earthlink and other ISPS (with spam filters) don't arbitrarily throw away email in the cc field.

I sent an email from hotmail in mail.app TO my work account and CC my hotmail account.. i didn't receive any messages anywhere in hotmail.com.. I read on the httpmail-plugin that this is an issue..
