When I'm in ICAL,
and someone sends me an invitation to something, the option to Mail Your Answer is grayed out on my Pbook, but on my Emac it's enabled..

What gives?

Same version of the system, same Ical version, same SMTP servers in Mail.app. In fact, I can't think of a difference in the systems that would matter..

Is Mail setup for an email account?

Found the problem.

If your address book name isn't the exact same as the sender's name, then you have to make a new address entry or change it.

So instead of just replying to the email sent, Ical will want to verify the name of the person and then use the email address sent. strange, but hey it works.
