I am trying to install Netscape 4 through classic so I can test some web sites I'm working on. The install launches fine, but it attempts to quit all other running applications, after it does, including the OSX finder the program just sits there and locks up classic; requiring a force quit on classic. As a stop gap I have been using Netscape 4 on Windows though VPC. Does anyone know how I can get Netscape to install?? Thanks.

It might be a pain, but you could just boot into OS 9 for the install.

Netscape 4.7.x should be bundled on every new Mac, my DP 1.25 PowerMac G4 (FW800) does. It is located inside my Application (Mac OS 9) folder.

I guess you may use the restore CD to restore the Classic support/software.

I just installed Netscape 4.8 in Classic. The only error I received was when it was trying to quit all apps, it tried to quit itself. I just clicked install again and it worked.
