What I mean is, it seems if I "Publish" an iCal to my .mac account, I can only publish "1 iCal" (one color) on a page.

-I want to see all the colors I see on my iCal window, on the web when I am work, and be able to select and deselect the ones I want to see like at home.

-I want to be able to add/delete/edit events on my iCal though .mac on the web. - with the changes refelcted on my G4, my Tibook, my iPod, and my cellphone (all via isync).

I think this would bring HUGE functionality to both iCal (which in my opinion NEEDS something to be killer - like adding AV to iChat, takes it to a new level as a chatter), and to .mac, which still has holdouts (and I can understand those arguements, some like it, some don't - for a different thread).

"Your iLife, EVERYWHERE"
Access, edit, and share your digital calendar from any internet-enabled computer. Sync to your mac, your iPod, and your portable devices/cellphones.
iCal 2.0
Apple (fade out)

I would like this - it would give iCal a .mac charged superboost - and it doesn't seem like it would be a huge deal for apple to implement with all the iCal data synced across .mac ALREADY- just needs a web interface (easier said??"

Thoughts?

I'd like to publish multiple calendars myself, although I don't need the edit on the web feature, it sounds pretty handy.

How about the ability to search on a category and then be able to print out the resuting list. How much trouble would that be?

What about a proper shared calendar, where everyone can edit everyone else's appointments (if permissions allow, of course). This is what we need to really use iCal in an office environment, or even a family environment.

Hierarchies of Calendars + To Do Lists.
So you could have a Work calendar with lots of sub calendars underneath for separate projects at Work.

This would make organizing and viewing the data you're interested in much easier. Hierarchies in To Do lists would be fantastic as well, flat lists just fill up too quickly.
Nothing to see, move along.

How about automatically importing Birthdays from the Address Book? And perhaps some distinction between birthdays/anniversarys and other all-day events? Apparently v1.5 has the Go To Date feature, so I won't harp on about that one. I'd also like to see an event view that only shows events for any given time frame (i.e., leaving out blank days).

I've said this before, but the calendar functions of my (now pretty much useless) Psion Revo beat the crap out of iCal. Personally, I don't use the sharing features but I can see where you're all coming from. However, I'd rather see iCal become a better calendar app before anything else is implemented.

I'd like it to be able to run an Applescript when an appointment approaches. If it could pass the reference of the event to the Applescript I can see that you could create some powerful enhancements without lots of things being added to the program.

The version in Panther seems to be able to 'open a file' as a reminder option so you can at least call an Applescript. However, I am not sure how easy it is to work out which event called the script. If you've lots of events I think there would be lots of scope for errors.
