With my 23" cinema display, it has to be Marine Aquarium 2.0. Awesome.

Roller Coaster has been entertaining for the past few days.

And nothing geeks me out more than watching the Matrix saver appear on my flat panel.

Some of my favorites:

IGS Twisted - A really cool, simple screensaver. It's hypnotizing.

Izzard Screensavers - For the Eddie Izzard Fan.

SnowSaver - A great winter screensaver. And great for the summer too.

I've never been able to get a pretty result from Fluid. All of the default presets are UGLY.

My most favorite screensavers are:

I like iCalSaver. (It comes with iCalViewer--check http://www.macupdate.com)

It shows your upcoming iCal events slowly marching toward the right side of your screen. Each event has the time remaining until it begins written on it, and is sized proportional to its duration. Pretty cool, and useful.

Anyone heard of Technichron?

It's a world map screensaver that displays the night and day thingys.

I've seen a screenshot of it (lost the link: it's somewhere in spymac's galleries) and it's absolutely cool, but it's US$5 (shareware).

However, a search in VersionTracker reveals that there has been no updates from the developer, and quite a number of folks are experiencing problems with the current version 0.4 -- it apparantly crashes System Preferences.

Also, the link to download it is unavailable -- I think the developer's site is down or something...

Can anyone make something similiar to Technichron?
Or does anyone know of something similar to it?

Thanks in advance!

SaveHollywood
ScriptSaver

But normally I use just the Apple's "Computer name" coz unlike the fancy savers it doesn't hog my CPU [and make the fan go crazy].

That screensaver used to be my favorite but it kept crashing often. The author lost the source code, Macs and everything in his burned house.

He said he will eventually rewrite it someday.

So far, I'm unable to find any workable link for Technichron.

Geez.

I'll be looking forward to seeing it again then...

I'm working on a screensaver that shows a notice to your boss about how much money you earn in this very moment from the moment you left the computer (meaning: although you're not working).

I posted this in this thread.

Get xbMovieMaker and simply drop the movie onto it. In 10-15 seconds you should have your screensaver.

Here is a GREAT SITE for some Apple Quicktime Ads. I'm downloading these and turning them into screensavers.

So my current favorite screensavers are these Apple Quicktime ads which have been converted into screensavers.

The xbMovieMaker program likes files 10MB or less. I think it'll still work with larger files, but it will be graphics intensive.

My current screensaver is Helios + IconSticker.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
