Hello,

As a web developer I find myself typing frequent phrases over and over again...

Does anybody have a suggestion for a utility where I can easily assign phrases to custom key commands?

Alternatively, if somebody knows of a way to do this within BBEdit (which is what I use), this would also do the trick...

Many thanks in advance for your responses!

You might take a look at Shadow Clipboard. You don't access from keyboard but from a menu. You can save your clips and name them.

PTHPasteboard is SORTA like that. It keeps a clipboard history.

And it's free. I use it all the time. Nice place to copy ULS, and later go back and get them.

Try TypeIt4Me, it's made to solve exactly your problem. Get it here:

http://www.typeit4me.com/

Anytime you enter text in your Mac by typing it at the keyboard, TypeIt4Me can help you do it faster and more accurately.
First you define a number of abbreviations and the full text entries that they represent, then you watch the Mac expand them on the fly even as you continue typing ($27.00)

Key Xing, iKey, HotApp, any of the Key macro apps will either type a string or paste a string for you when an assigned key combination is hit.

The best key macro app, Keyboard Maestro, also has its own multi-clipboard utility.
