When I first publish an ical I get a dialog box with a button that allows me to visit the newly published icalendar. But how do I find my ical if I log into my .mac account from a different computer. I don't remember the URL, and it's not listed on my .mac "homepage". If I click the ical on the list with Mail, Address Book, Bookmarks, etc.. I'm taken to a page that tells me about ical and the ability to download ical, but no link to my calendars. Also when I publish a calendar is it visable to anyone on the web or only if I give them the URL? Any ideas. Thanks.

The calendar is at ical.mac.com/your_username/Whatever_the_published_calendar_is_called_in_iCal

Nothing on the web can be seen by anybody without a URL, so I don't understand your second question. Are you asking whether people will be able to google for your calendar? Possibly - eventually.

If you want to keep it private, give it password protection (option in iCal somewhere)

Essentially, what Apple needs to add is a Homepage equivalent for iCal to their .Mac web site so that you can create indices for your published iCals and partition them into separate areas which can be password protected (or not) as you so desire.

Send them feedback.

As it stands, you need to be able to remember the URL for all your published calendars and this is just stoopid.

Personally, I get iCal to send an e-mail to myself whenever I publish a calendar to get the address in a form I can access anywhere online (via my .Mac webmail).

I am hoping for significantly more web interaction with iCal, prob via .mac - see my earlier post HERE
