So, now that the new G5's are coming out and Panther is coming out, how well will VirtualPC v6 perform? Can I finally ditch my peecee at work if I get a G5 dual 2gHz? I just have a couple of apps that I need to run.

I heard that VPC isn't compatible with the G5 yet.

It is not. VPC 6.1 is functionally identical to VPC 6.0; it's just rebranded as a MS product instead of a Connectix one. Ironically, people have reported all kinds of problems with it anyway.

And it isn't supported on the G5.

It does contain updates for those who were running 6.01, not 6.02. Since Connectix advised users to only update to 6.02 if they were using Airport Extreme, many users were still on 6.01.

I know in my case, 6.1 is noticeably slower than 6.01.
