"The message from hostmaster@ad-rag.com concerning “Password for warosier” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it."

I am online, why can't I access this message?

i usually get that type of error when my mail server is down. This might be the problem.

I am sure you are 'online' in that you have an internet connection. But are you 'online' in Mail.app-speak? In Mail, in the Mailbox menu, make sure that you 'Go online'. For me, sometimes I appear to have gone 'offline' (for no partciular reason as far as I can see) and I need to rectify this to get my .Mac mail.
