Its been broken for a while.

I think Matt is planning on rewriting it completely whenever he gets a chance. Read more here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/heat_software/

It stopped getting my forecast a month or two back. I would set it to Warrington UK, and it would instantly change to Warrington California, Manchester UK would also do the same.
I am currently using WeatherPop, with a serial I err 'found'.

Here's what's going to happen tonight:

1) I'm going to make Meteo 1.3.0, which will work for the most part. There will be no new features or anything like that
2) All donation code and such will be gone
3) I'm going to officially retire from the project and ask for someone else to PLEASE take it up.

I really can't muster the motivation to work on it anymore. I don't know exactly what it is, but since I borke up with my ex, I almost seem to associate it with her. So I'll post on sourceforge the beginnings of the 2.0 with code and hope someone else can continue the project.

Grr... I'd have 1.3.0 up now if my ISP didn't die last night. NWS is working again, but I'm going to have to still work out the kinks in weather.com and wunderground.com, which aren't behaving like they use to at all - specifically, weather.com is doing some massive amounts of redirection and making my life so much more fun!

This happened to me right after I restarted the computer after installing that new security update from Software Update.

This is and was the best weather app on OSX. I'm really sad to hear that you won't be continuing development. I understand your reasons and hope someone will take over. I hope they do a good job as well as you did. Cheers and good luck with you.

okay, it's all done... but as I seem to be only able to stay online for about five minutes before getting booted, I have no idea when it's getting up.

sigh...

I had a similar problem with 1.2.9. Ever since I installed Apple's new Security Update (8-14-03 I believe) and restarted, the icon is no longer in the menu bar and the only submenu that works is Controls. But now that I have 1.3.0, I see no change. Anyone know what the source of the problem is and/or how to fix it? Thanks.

P.S. I do not know if this makes a difference, but the only active server I am getting (and the only one I have gotten for a while) is Wunderground.com.

Downloaded 1.3 set up my city (Shrewsbury UK) and the weather server (weather.com). I then confirm the details but it either changes to any server wunderground and thus shows the weather fot shrewsbury in the U.S? If i can get it to stick on weather.com then as with jszrules i get no icon etc.
I'd love to have this working as it's a great little app and i hope someone can fix the bugs soon.
