I subscribe to a lot of mailing lists and as such I've got several huge mbox files filled with messages. I'd like to rotate those mbox files out and then compress them so I can start anew with empty mailboxes. I need to keep all my older filters and not simply delete the mbox files after they've been copied and compressed so I don't look the mailbox settings and whatnot. How might I go about doing all of that?
I know how to compress and copy the stuff I just need to know which files I'd have to move from the mbox files or what things Mail wants me to do for it all to work.
