Hi all,

I'm hoping someone could offer some advice for me. I'm looking for a calendaring solution for a very specific function.

Basically, this would be for two people, a boss and a secretary. The primary need here is that the secretary would be able to view the boss's calendar, make changes to it, add new appointments, etc. It should be private otherwise, with no other people able to access it.

The ability for them to make changes is important, and why just subscribing to an iCal won't be enough.

So far I haven't been able to find a ton of stuff. I was looking at Now Up-to-Date, but I wasn't totally clear on the extent of the sharing capabilities.

Could anyone else recommend something that would be a good solution for this purpose?

Does the boss need to be able to edit the calendar as well? If not, then iCal sharing should work, with the secretary sharing it. If the boss does need to edit, you'll have to look at some sort of online calendaring system.

The Mozilla Calendar program might be able to do it.

Yeah, the boss also needs to be able to create and edit entries as well.

He is currently using the 30-day Now-Up-to-Date trial, so I'll see what he thinks of that. In the meantime, I'm definitely interested in what other options there might be.

I don't know your exact needs, but we use a web based calendar for a running club. Lots of folks look at it & you can give editing capabilties to as many as needed. Might be worth checking out.

NUTD should work quite well for that situation. That's what I would recommend.

Otherwise, check out webevent at www.webevent.com, which would be my 2nd choice.
OS X: Where software installation doesn't require wizards with shields.

I was looking at WebEvent, but I was a bit confused about it..... the pricing info on the site seemed like it is in the thousands of dollars. Capabilities wise though it does look very good.
