To free up hard drive space, I save all of my mp3's on CD-R's. However, those were saved on a Windows machine, and when I tried putting the disc in my iBook to transfer the songs, the laptop wouldn't recognize the disc. The burner I saved the songs on is a HP 8100 CD Burner Plus. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get these files off of the disk, and onto my iBook? Thanks in advance for any help!

Have you ever used the cds before? Did the computer freeze when you put them in?

Oh yeah, I've copied the mp3's back onto the Windows machine several times. The iBook didn't freeze, you could hear the disc spinning inside. I've got the computer set to show anything in the combo drive, but nothing appeared. I'm wondering if there isn't some incompatibilty between the CD writing software that I used and the iBook?

Okay, here's the message I receive when I insert the CD-R. "You have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OS X can read. To use the unreadable volumes, click initialize. To continue with the disk inserted, click ignore. Hopefully that will help with anyone that can figure this out for me!

I get that error on my PowerBook sometimes. The slot loading combo drive doesn't seem to like a lot of CD-R's.
